Our 30th Season - 2025-2026
"United in Harmony"
Holiday RevelsSat. Dec. 6th and Sun. Dec. 7th, 2025
Our goal for this year was to present the many ways we, as a nation on our 250th Anniversary, celebrate this great land and the many cultures that enrich our lives. For our Christmas celebration, we filled your hearts with peace, hope, and the promise of a beautiful future. The featured pieces were: Hodie Fanfare (Christ is born today!), Ubi Caritas (Where there is charity), and African Noel, these works inspired and reflected the hope of the season. We also performed the secular favorites Little St. Nick, The Christmas Song, and Getting in the Mood (For Christmas) which left our audiences tapping their toes and ready for the season. The Arts4All singers of the SMCR performed, as well. All Concerts were at: St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Center 4590 St. Joseph Way Pomfret, MD 20675 |
A Democracy of PromiseSat. March 21st and Sun. March 22, 2026
Following our theme of celebrating our Nation’s Anniversary, we brought a wide variety of cultural experiences with our Spring Concert. We presented a Lakota Sioux lullaby, Chante Waste Hoksila (My Kind Hearted Boy), which was arranged as a tribute to the victims of the Uvalde, TX shootings. We performed spirituals, Shaker songs, American folk songs, a musical setting of the Gettysburg Address, and a tribute to our military services. A nation of many ethnicities, religions, and ideologies, we saluted all who built this great nation and all who strive to defend it. CCAS helped Our Place Waldorf Soup Kitchen. We collected the listed items at both of our concerts. Nonperishable food items were brought to help out those in need, as we celebrated our nation and served our community. The Arts4All singers of the SMCR performed, as well. All Concerts were at: St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Center 4590 St. Joseph Way Pomfret, MD 20675 |
Moving Forward in SongSat. June 6th and Sun. June 7th, 2026
We traveled across the country – a great nation spreading from coast to coast, from north to south – to highlight music from all parts: from Broadway blockbusters in the east, fiddle tunes from the south, Hollywood movie melodies from the west, Motown memories, and a special arrangement of Kalamazoo by our composer-in-residence W.G. Pete Stokes to cover the north. The Midwest wasn't forgotten with a rendition of Put Another Dime in the Juke Box. We went On the Road Again as we remembered This Land is Your Land. We celebrated a milestone in American history – a fabulous 250th Birthday Party! The Arts4All singers of the SMCR performed, as well. All Concerts were at: St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Center 4590 St. Joseph Way Pomfret, MD 20675 |
