Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting all ensemble rehearsals and public performances throughout the season
- Designing and programming seasonal concert series that reflect both artistic ambition and community relevance
- Fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and musically inspiring rehearsal environment for all singers
- Collaborating closely with the Board of Directors on long-term strategic artistic vision and organizational planning
- Serving as a visible ambassador for choral music and the performing arts throughout the Southern Maryland and Charles County community
Desired qualifications include:
- Advanced degree in choral conducting or music, or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience leading an amateur or semi-professional choral ensemble
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal leadership skills
- A genuine passion for community choral arts and music education
- Familiarity with a broad range of choral repertoire, spanning classical, contemporary, sacred, and secular traditions
Compensation:
