Our 19th Season - 2014-2015

The Chesapeake Choral Art Society's 2014-2015 concert season featured Great Composers, Great Works as our holiday performance. The pops concert, Music of World War II was presented in March, and the spring concert of An Evening of Bernstein finished off the series.

This season started off with a holiday concert comprised of a collection of some of the finest works from some of the greatest composers. Great Composers, Great Works was presented on Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of December at the College of Southern Maryland's Fine Arts Center Theater in La Plata, Maryland.

The concert featured: W.A. Mozart's Laudate Dominum and Lacrimosa, F.J. Hayden's The Heavens are Telling, J. Brahms' How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place, and A.L. Weber's Pie Jesu among others.

Solos were performed by: Sarah Kilikewich, Denis Pratt, Michael K. Santana, Michael Mickey, and Angelina Pezzetti. The violinist for J. Rutter's The Lord is My Shepherd was Sarah Koon.


The pops concert consisted of Music of World War II. It was presented on Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of March at the College of Southern Maryland's Fine Arts Center Theater in La Plata, Maryland.

Filled with songs popular during wartime, pieces were performed such as: There's a Long, Long Trail, and Keep the Home-Fires Burning. Three selections that were arranged by W.G. Pete Stokes were also performed: There'll be Bluebirds Over The Rainbow, I'll be Home for a White Christmas, and We'll Meet Again, So I'll Be Seeing You.

Solos were performed by: Mary Rigney, Lisa LaClair, Sarah Kilikewich, Pat McConkey, Cathy Compton, Glen Strickler and Angelina Pezzetti. Our Three Tenors performed I've Got a Gal in Kalamazoo, Sarah Kilikewich, Denise Pratt, and Angelina Pezzetti performed Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and Mike Gahan and Pat Moffat performed Baby, It's Cold Outside.

The final concert of the season featured An Evening of Bernstein. It occurred on Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of June at the College of Southern Maryland's Fine Arts Center Theater.

The presentation began with selections from West Side Story, On The Town, and Candide. It also included solos from: Alex LaClair, Martie Viterito, Lisa LaClair, Angelina Pezzetti, Mike Mickey, Sarah Kilikewich, Denise Pratt, Ken LaClair, Carol Charnock, Michael Santana and Erica Klonkowski. Emmaline Jones performed I Hate Music - A Cycle of Five Kid Songs.

The second half of the concert was a presentation of the Chichester Psalms featuring soloist Jacques Synman.
