Our 26th Season - 2021-2022

December, a lovely month with wonderful memories. We performed, in our Renaissance attire, some well-known Christmas favorites, both sacred and secular. Our featured work for this concert was Christmas Day by Gustav Holst – a medley of several familiar carols. We presented some international folk songs of the season (I Wonder as I Wander, Swedish Dance Carol, Ya Viene La Vieja); sacred music (Ubi Caritas, Wonderful Counselor); traditional favorites (Good King Wenceslas, Still Still Still); and a new original work by our resident composer, W.G. Pete Stokes (The Oxen).  We had guest instrumentalists perform with our accomplished accompanist, Josh Cockerham.

As always, we closed with Silent Night.

We requested that all audience members be vaccinated.
Masks had to be worn at all times.

A heartwarming concert with some beautiful selections from Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart, Dixit, and our featured selection from Johannes Brahms, Nänie. Nänie is based on a poem by Friedrich Schiller. Brahms
used this setting for a tribute after the death of his friend, painter Anselm Feuerbach.

We also performed live, our virtual work from last season, Peace I Give To You.

Other musical selections included: Ye Followers of the Lamb, The Cloths of Heaven and How Can I Keep From Singing.

We hope you were “inspired” by our lovely selections for this concert.
