We open our year with some familiar Christmas memories from the past with such selections as “Shepherd’s Pipe Carol” and “Carol of the Bells”. 

Our featured work will be the powerful Gloria by John Rutter with a Brass Ensemble and Percussion. Written in 3 movements, it starts with the Angels announcing to the shepherds “Glory to God”, moves to a slower movement asking God to show mercy and ends with a rousing doxology.   

The Many Moods of Christmas – Suite 4 was originally arranged by Robert Russell Bennett for the Robert Shaw Chorale and includes 5 well know carols.  

We will close with our community singing of “Silent Night”.
